About

Life on my own terms

There comes a point — often quietly —
when a woman realises she has been living efficiently…
but not always inwardly.

She is capable.
Responsible.
Relied upon.

Her days are full.
Her evenings are technically free.

And yet — something feels slightly uninhabited.

Not dramatic.
Not broken.
Just subtly disconnected.

Life on My Own Terms was created for that woman.

For the one who has carried much.
Managed much.
Decided much.

And is beginning to ask:

When do I arrive inside my own time?

This work does not offer reinvention.

It does not prescribe routines.

It does not optimise productivity.

It explores something quieter:

How attention is used.
How evenings are passed through.
How autonomy is quietly postponed.

And how small, conscious shifts can restore presence —
without adding more to your life.

About Lucy Winterborne

Lucy writes from lived recognition.

From years of noticing how easily capable women disappear inside full lives.

Not because they lack discipline.
But because they have given their attention outward for so long.

Her work is reflective, writing-led, and intentionally minimal.

She does not instruct loudly.

She names what is already happening —
and trusts that clarity creates change.

This work has been quietly developing over years of personal reflection and study of how capable women use — and lose — their attention.

If you have ever finished your day
and felt strangely unfinished yourself —

You are not alone here.
